About this photoblog
The project
I used to enjoy taking photos quite a lot and frequently hit the streets to see what I could find; then, my life turned a bit frantic, and I set photography aside for a few years. I now have a more humane lifestyle, and I’m back taking photos. In the past few years, though, everything has changed: digital photography has taken over, and I’m way behind the learning curve. This photoblog is the chronicle of my re-introduction to photography and my introduction to the digital realm. I’m going to try to take and post a photo a day, although there may be days when I’m simply unable to take and post a new one. If you have an opinion about any of my photos, feel free to share it. And thanks for stopping by.
Technical information and equipment
All photos on this photoblog were taken with a Nikon D5100 and one of the following lenses: Sigma AF 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC HSM OS, Sigma AF 50-150mm f/2.8 EX DC HSM OS, Nikon 35mm f/2.0 AF-D, Nikon 50mm f/1.8 AF-D, or Nikon 85mm f/1.8 AF-D. I started the project with just the primes, but over the past few months, I’ve added the zooms to my kit. As far as image processing goes, I am currently using Photoshop Elements 10, but most of these images were processed in Picasa. I hope to upgrade to Photoshop CS6 at some point, so feel free to make donations to help speed up that process!
