Photo of the Day — Day 204
I don’t know what it says about me, but I tend to like landscapes in which the trees have lost their leaves: I like bright colors as much as the next photographer, but there’s something about the shapes of bare tree branches that I find more interesting. Virginia is such a green state, with tons of trees all over the place, so that so often you see patches of green everywhere you look. By the time winter sets in, though, most of the trees have all lost their leaves, and during this time of year, the stark beauty of the trees is much more likely to catch my eye.
