Photo a Day — Day 205
I have had a cell phone now for over a decade, and my general opinion is that as long as one masters the technology, rather than allowing oneself to be mastered by it, it’s a good thing. I often have my phone set to vibrate or simply choose not to answer it, I’m not the sort to text while sitting with friends, and I don’t carry on loud conversations while in cafes, on trains, or in subway cars. I am very thankful, though, for the freedom that it offers, the ability to make a call wherever I am, whenever I want, and without any long-distance charges. Nonetheless, when I came across an old phone the other day, I was surprised by how nostalgic I felt for the old days, when phones were heavy and had cords, and you had to actually stand or sit in one place to use them.
