Photo of the Day — Day 212

When I was first starting to learn about photography, I would read an interview with  photographers who would say things like “Photography is about light” or “Photography is about light and shadow,” and I didn’t really understand that well what they meant.  Now, years later, I do. 

There’s something about the way that light falls, the color of it, the shadows it creates, that can turn a fairly pedestrian wall into something striking, something that stops you in your tracks and makes you look.  And if you happen to have a camera with you, that gives you a photo of the day.
