Photo of the Day — Day 213
While I was in graduate school at the University of Virginia, I worked for a couple of years at Clemons library. That was quite a while ago, and a lot has changed: the main floor used to have a huge computer lab that has been replaced by booths where students study, there were no fish tanks, and the furniture was all pretty old and well used. But they still have books and videos, and you still see students slogging away at all hours, working hard to keep up their GPA. I was on Grounds running an errand, so I took a few moments to take a couple of photos. I couldn’t avoid taking a shot of the fish tank, of course, and there had to be an obligatory photo of students doing what they do. Finally, the lights in the bottom floor made an interesting pattern that I wanted to capture and share with you. The next time you find yourself in Clemons, take a moment to appreciate it because you, too, will likely move on to other things.
