When I arrived in Charlottesville to go to graduate school at UVa back in 1994, I was struck by the presence of the secret societies; I had never attended a school with secret societies before, so the idea seemed quite odd. If you spend much time on the Grounds of the University, you’ll begin to notice see their tags all round, since they’ve tagged a lot of high visibility buildings. For today’s photos of the day, I decided to shoot a couple of the more prominent tags, located around the Rotunda, the heart of the University. And just for good measure, I included a shot of the Cavalier graphic that you see painted on to the street on the Corner.
