Photo of the Day — Day 216
I’ve been working on a sort of photographic tour of the University of Virginia lately, and today I’m going to add a bit to the photo set. This time, I walked down to the Colonnades behind Lambeth Field, which was the University’s first outdoor athletic location. The amphitheater was built between 1911 and 1913, and spectators used to sit and watch the UVa football team and other sports teams play their games there. The place has fallen into some disrepair, but you’ll still see students out there playing sports, running the stairs, or just enjoying the view.
