Last February, S. and I hadn’t been dating for very long, so we didn’t go all out for Valentine’s Day. In fact, we didn’t go out at all, since we were seeing each other only on weekends at that point. This year, of course, things were quite different. I am ambivalent about the whole Valentine’s Day thing, largely because I am a romantic at heart and feel as though making a special production once a year is far less desirable than treating your sweetheart as if s/he were special each and every day. Nonetheless, I was not about to miss an opportunity to offer S. some chocolates, among other things. I hope that all of you out there in Tumblrville had the chance to enjoy something sweet, too!
