Photo of the Day — Day 236
I’m not sure that I like this photo too much, but it’s an example of a “must post” sort of photo; that is, the demands of the challenge that I set for myself, posting a photo each and every day, trumps any notion of perfectionism to which I might ordinarily cling. The 365 project has thus far been a wonderful learning experience, not only because it has forced me to get out and shoot more frequently, but also because it helps to keep that tendency toward perfectionism from getting out of hand. The perfect, as they say, is the enemy of the good, and while it is important to one’s development as a photographer (or a dog groomer or a teacher or a street sweeper) to maintain high standards, a solid dose of perspective is often the cure for what ails you.
