Photo of the Day — Day 241

Regular followers of my photoblog know that I have a soft spot for an interesting wall; I love the way that these man-made structures can serve as the raw material for photos that are sort of abstract experiments in color, shading, or light.  I like the colors of the stones in this wall and the way that the mortar has disappeared from between the stones, leaving strong lines of shadow dividing and separating them.  I tried to frame the photo in such a way as to establish a nice balance of color and shape, and the large stone located almost in the center of the image provides a focal point of sorts.
