Photo of the Day — Day 73
Today was a big day for me: S. and I drove over 11 hours from Charlottesville up to her uncle’s cabin on a lake in the Berkshires. The goal of the weekend was two-fold: most importantly, this is the weekend when I met her sister and her step-mother for the first time; a secondary aim is to enjoy a relaxing weekend on the lake. Some might say that meeting family members of one’s fiancee is antithetical to the notion of having a relaxing weekend, but I am pleased to report that they are lovely people who have made me feel quite welcome.
S. and I took turns driving on the way up, which meant that I was free to look for whatever roadside photo opportunities presented themselves. I was charmed by a series of balls placed on power wires, and despite flying by at about 75 miles per hour, I did manage to take a photo of this one.
